I have to admit it crossed my mind: What could a web design outfit which called themselves "Jumping Trout" have to offer me.......I'm an author of childrens' books. But don't let the relaxed name and the relaxed atmosphere fool you. This team knows what its doing and they take on the personal challenge of launching every client. It took a couple of tours through my back office before I really caught on to how user-friendly the format is. Until then I had to swallow my pride and call asking the 'I really don't have a clue' questions; but, I was never once made to feel foolish or a bother. The whole JT team makes me feel like family and has supported me as I gained traction on the learning curve of making my website work for me.
I appreciated the site and the training when I was recently able to add a new book to my home page and especially when I could see that the PayPal component working seamlessly. It would be so much fun to have all the knowledge that the Jumping Trout team has. But I don't have to know all that because I know them. They are as generous as they are talented and were genuinely excited for me when traffic started moving through my site and sales were generated. One Thursday morning last December, I suddenly realized my expensive advertising was set to start on Sunday morning and I still didn't have an e-commerce website. I had purchased a domain name months earlier, and included it in the advertising, but hadn't found anyone I trusted to create the actual site. I had spoken to many people who claimed to have experience, but they charged by the hour and wouldn't give me any idea of the number of hours it would take. Scarily, one said it had taken him three months to make the shopping cart work on his last creation.
